Terms

Terms of service

These terms cover your use of this website and how the information on it should be read. By using the site you accept them. They take effect October 8, 2026.

Information on this site is general

The service pages, area pages and tree tips explain how tree work usually goes in and around Philadelphia. They are general information, not advice about your particular tree. A tree that looks fine in a photo can be hollow, and one that looks alarming can be sound, so treat anything here as a starting point and have the tree itself looked at before you act on it.

Published cost ranges are not quotes

Dollar figures on this site come from third-party cost surveys, with the source and year shown next to them. They are planning numbers that describe what similar jobs have cost elsewhere. They are not our prices, not an offer, and not a promise that your job will fall inside them.

Every job is priced after an in-person look

We give a price only after seeing the tree, the access to it and what sits underneath. The price and scope agreed for your job are what govern the work, not anything written on these pages. If we find something on the day that changes the job, such as hidden decay or a wire nobody mentioned, we stop and talk it through with you before going further.

Scheduling and weather

Dates can move. Strong wind, lightning and ice stop climbing and crane work, storm emergencies can push planned jobs back, and some work has to wait for a permit or a utility make-safe date.

  • If a scheduled day has to change, we contact you to set a new one.
  • A PECO service drop make-safe is booked by request, and PECO asks for at least two weeks' notice.
  • Emergency work is handled in order of danger, and a tree on a house comes ahead of planned trimming.

When your call may be forwarded

When our crews are booked or an after-hours emergency cannot wait, your call may be forwarded to another trusted local tree company. Availability and pricing may vary by provider, so confirm licensing and insurance before work begins. A company that takes a forwarded call sets its own prices and terms and is responsible for its own work.

Permits and property rules

Confirming whether your tree work needs a permit is the property owner's responsibility. Rules differ from one municipality to the next, and homeowner associations can add their own. For a Philadelphia street tree, we help with the Parks and Recreation permit step before any cutting; the street tree permit guide explains how that works. For suburban townships, we can tell you what towns commonly ask for, but the final word comes from your town.

Cost tables and guides link to outside sources such as city departments, utilities, news reports and cost surveys. We link to them so you can check the numbers yourself. We do not control those sites, and their content, accuracy and privacy practices are their own.

Governing law

These terms and any dispute about this website are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
